Jeremy Zmuda
Jeremy, the front man and leader of “Jeremy Plays Guitar” loves to play the guitar! He loves it so much that for over 20 years Jeremy has dedicated himself to playing guitar, writing music, teaching music, and performing. At 18, his love for music brought him to the world renowned Berklee College of Music on scholarship where he studied Music Education and Performance. Over the years Jeremy has won many awards for his music including a John Lennon songwriting award, Parent’s Choice Award, Kid’s Music Award, and NAPPA award.
Trained as an Early Childhood Music Specialist and guitarist, Zmuda has crafted a niche for himself in the children’s music scene. Jeremy has released 2 children’s albums as a leader, (Use Your Words-2010) and (Songs In The Key Of New York-2007), and 1 jazz album as a leader (End Of An Era-2006), his guitar sounds can be heard on countless albums as a sideman.
In 2009 Zmuda met Early Childhood Specialist and parent, Lizzie Bicknell, and the two began to create a special brand of children’s music together that speaks to kids from all different walks of life. The two continue to work together, writing and developing music for the band, curriculum for school districts and developmental music classes. Jeremy currently serves as a Music Consultant for Sesame Street, Director of Early Childhood Music for 3 schools, touring around the country, and of course playing guitar!
